The AV8000 series scanners offer a generous A3 flatbed scanning area and ultra-fast scanning. For example and A4 page can be scanned on the flatbed in 5 seconds (200 dpi/line art) from the time you click on scan! Ordinary scanners haven't even started scanning by then...

An optional A3 document feeder is also available. It will hold up to 50 pages at once. With the document feeder attached, the AV8000S is capable of scanning up to 35 pages per minute while the AV8050S and 8050U models will scan up to 50ppm.

To make scanning even more effortless, the AV8000 series scanners come with a comprehensive software collection for Windows. This package includes the acclaimed TextBridge Optical Character Recognition software, which saves you retyping by automatically converting printed text into a word-processor format which can then be edited. You can also edit, organise and share your scans with Roxio Photosuite digital imaging. For quick & easy document capture, use the supplied AVCapture scanning application. Avision scanners ship with Twain drivers, but ISIS drivers are available on request at no extra charge.
